My Working Holiday Dream

-working holiday in New Zealand 

Glance through for a few years back, since I left my secondary school, I have a dream to go far away from my home country to experience the life different from what I have in Malaysia, especially if the country can let me experience of four seasons. The dream remains as a dream, as I have never really take into any action to make it happening. But it remains in my heart where it is not possible to fade away.

I have to admit that I am not brave enough to travel alone. It would be really great if you are able to find a life partner who can accompany you along the journey regardless any gender and both of you can live together and share all the moments together.

The first time I step out of my comfort zone from home is working in Genting, one kind of memories that working in the Casino at the age of 16. The people I know them there, friends, supervisors, customers, and all the moments that I faced there remains in the heart whenever I travel to a new place. And I am glad there is a few that I am still keep in touch with, although most have already lost contact.

Type the words until here I felt like to post a photo with one of my friend, the mr. gold fish that I know that time and coincident his college is linked with USM so each year during the convocation season he will be coming here to attend the senior's convocation, we did met also during the time he came up to Genting for my second time working in casino.

This was taken last year September during his brother's convocation, 

and soon end of this month will be his turn.

Marked the 7 years of friendship for us. 

Then, come to Penang four years back for my university, the “由你玩四年” (let you play for four years) have almost come to the end of the journey, along the journey, I am glad with the experience of "oversea" at Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) for my four-months holiday and definitely a great experience to kick off my guts to travel in a totally strange area and explore. 

This fully sponsored student exchange program indeed gave me the satisfaction and filled up the study in oversea dream although it is just a neighboring country next to Malaysia. I am always having a dream still to go for an European country but afraid to do so because of the language barrier and first of all the cost that I got to pay. 

In fact, the four- year study life has already a fixed one although there is holiday in between, but with no income for living, I hardly can plan a trip for a long vacation. The furthest I had traveled is Taiwan, which is one of my dream country to visit, glad that my sister was there at that time so I went there to visit the place and also for her. It was actually a sudden plan for a week vacation, so I have not much time to plan for the place and just refer to my sister. 

The Taiwan trip also marked the end of my vacations, after travelling quite frequently around the country, Sabah, Sarawak, Thailand and Vietnam, I found myself feel tiring to travel, I am not sure if everyone will faced that kind of period, that you are so deeply in love with one interest you found but suddenly bored with it and had enough of it. So I stop planning for trip and check out for the deals. Partly due to the budget and time factor.

The topic today just want to start write it out, thanks to the book voucher given by the government, I bought a book for the New Zealand working holiday experience shared by a couple. 

Suddenly I started back to imagine myself in the farm picking up apples, kiwi, cherry and etc. My dream was actually to go to France for the wine industry one day, but doubted that will it be possible. New Zealand working holiday was one of the targeted place because it offers the working holiday permit each year for us to go for 6 months there. 

Look into the book, see the working holiday experiences, traveled by car/van and even tried to save cost by staying in the vehicle for two months, such a unique experience! But I doubt will it be what I can withstand for. Well, at least I must find a partner to join me for the journey, one who is more daring than me to support me face the tears and obstacles, he/she that must be more open minded than me so that to encourage me to try the new things too. 

I am not sure if there is one day in the future I will start the journey, or it will be remains as a dream that left in my mind to realized it. Everything cannot be sure until you move your legs and touch the land of the place. Soon, I am most likely to leave Penang and go to another place to start another journey which is still an unknown. 

Keep calm and continue the last two months with the assignments, tests, and final year project, not forget FOOD that I am yet to try all before I leave this food paradise!!
