The only cultural night I have joined is the Chinese Society annual event during my second year, not as a performer but a committee member on backstage. Now thinking back, I am still not used to the culture of being in a Chinese Society, where everyone seems to have a critical thinking.
"Once you shaped your thinking in your way, it is very hard to twist it and you will offense or try your way for explanation." I am the out liner. I have had a hard time to suite myself in a new environment. Being a slow thinker, I hardly speak out what I am thinking as the speed of the knowledge slot in is way faster for my digestion. Anyway, still a lot I have learn along the process.
And now, as in the final year student, I have no time to help in organize any activities, but at least still got the time of joining those one- day activities. So far I have join a few cultural night this year, the Indonesia Cultural Night, Japan Festival Night and yesterday night the International Week's Gala Night.
Feeling to blog today as it reminds me of the past yet opened my eyes for the new thing. It reminds me of the bands performance, the Indian Dance by my juniors, however, I have forgotten whether I have seen Dikir Barat performance, but I am sure that is my first time watch the traditional dance "Sewang" by the bumiputera in Malaysia. see here. Also, Chobi from Iraq, Aikido from Japan, singing in Spanish, Persian, and etc. Although it almost make me got to climb the gate for the first time in USM, it is still worth it for most of the show. One simple but warming night that worth to be noted.
Time to countdown for us to join each of the event held in USM.
